Only if I am comfortable using the space I am designing both functionally & aesthetically will my client enjoy using it....Is The most important thought upheld while designing any & every project.
From assisting my elder brother shri. Ratnakar Malwadkar before I joined the architectural course to assisting him as a trainee to working independently & starting my firm in partnership with my nephew Ar. Rahul malwadkar my professional journey has come a full circle.
The value systems & professional ethics inculcated in me by my guru shi. Ratnakar Malwadkar are the same that I have further passed on to my nephew & my daughter in law Ar. Minal malwadkar & our staff members.
I’ve believed in stepping in the end users shoes & evaluating my design irrespective of the project being an individual owners project or a builder project.
My guru always said when an owner walks into our premises he is a client, but when he leaves our effort should be to make him our comrade.
My 47 odd years in this profession have given me immense satisfaction, & I take this platform to convey my best wishes to the 4th generation of the Malwadkar family, my granddaughter Isha Malwadkar who is being trained in architecture. I hope she imbibes all the values we have been working on & take our journey to new heights.

Practical aesthetics in conjunction with the clients & municipal corporation’s requirements is the back bone of the methodology endorsed by us in each of our endeavours After graduating from BKPS college of architecture in Pune I joined my father & uncle as an architect & further went on to start my firm in partnership with my uncle.
Apart from undertaking Liaoning & design projects for individual land owners to established builders we also have a vertical exclusively to cater to SRA projects which is Slum Rehabilitation Authorities. Its our way of contributing to society via our profession.
In this journey our in house team & our prestigious clients have been our undying support system, without which we wouldn’t have been able to accomplish all that we have & all that we strive to.

“WE CAN CREATE WHAT WE CONCEIVE” is the prime principle I work with. My work extends from the solid exteriors to the much warmer & private interiors. Understanding every clients temperament with reference to their ideas about their spaces makes work interesting and equally challenging.
From being trained as an architect at BKPS college of architecture Pune, to starting my own practice under the name of “Malwadkar & Malwadkar” to training budding interior designers at S.K.V its ben an enriching journey so far.
The thought of initiating a separate interior vertical came from the need to give every client a complete solution under one roof, architecture, liason & interiors.
Nearly half a century our family has been in the architect profession & it gives me a lot of joy as I address my colleagues,
The foundation of our firm was laid 51 years back by Ar. RatnakarMalwadkar in 1965 under the name of MMDR – Malwadkar More Deo and Ranade.
It was taken further under the name of as MalwadkarRanadeGadgil which post 2006
Ar. Rahul Malwadkar& Ar. Bharat Malwadkar have been leading the team under the name of “MALWADKAR ARCHITECTS”
It gives us immense pleasure that our 4th generation is gearing up to take the flag several notches higher.
With our expertise of working on various project typologies such as housing, commercial, institutional, industrial, and interior projects our priority has always been satisfying our clients & end users requirements both design wise & economically.
We at Malwadkar Architects believe that “IF WE CONCEIVE IT, WE CAN EXECUTE IT”
The end product is a proof of our extensive involvement is every endeavour we endure.
In addition to our above portfolios we also take up SRA (Slum Rehabilitation Authority) projects.
Out of the current 75 schemes that we are working on, 6 schemes have been successfully completed& 5 schemes are in progress on site.
We’d like to add that out of the 5 completed schemes 2 of our schemes have won 2nd& 3rd position in the recently held ASRA awards 2016.
Our cliental has a rich mix of builders &independent land owners, Marvel, Goel Ganga Group ,Paranjpe Schemes, Gera Developments, Lushlife Properties, Samyak, Elbras Reality, Tara Constructions, Skywards Ashitika, Amber Developers, Ajmera group of Companies, Karya Builders, Sunrise Builders to name a few, to whom we render our services.

We have an efficient and creative in house design team constituting of Architects, Civil Engineer, liasoning officers, draftsmento cater to our clients & an admin staff for the office.
